About Seville

Seville has an impressive new railway station Santa Hustle with ultra fast AVE trains that connect Seville with Madrid.

Seville has two airports Seville International Airport and La Parra International Airport.

Getting around

Seville offers great solutions for transport. It has highly developed metro and tram systems.

However, you can rent a bike or scooter.

Landmarks

Seville offers plenty of historical and architectural sites. Among the well know are Seville cathedral with a beautiful tower Giralda, The Town Hall, Plaza Espana, including the dominant famous Royal Castle Alcazar.

Alcazar was made on the remains of the Moorish Palace. It was made in Mudejar style, which combined Muslim and Christian architecture.  It represents the cultures of Moors, Andalusia and Christianity.

However, Moorish and Gothic buildings from the old town are under protection of UNESCO.

The Cathedral of Seville

The cathedral was built on the remains of a mosque. However, it is combination of Gothic and Mudejar style.

Furthermore, Giralda or El Giraldillo was the minaret, which was changed into the bell tower.

When you pass through the famous Lion Gate (Puerta de Leon), which separates the lively square of the castle, you will enter into place that keeps the remains of earlier Islamic palace.

Attractions

Do not miss your chance to see live flamenco. It would be great idea to find older dancers of flamenco, who have unusual passion for this dance.

Another famous attraction of Seville is corridor or La corrida des Torros. However, opinions about bullfight are divided. Many local inhabitants see it as the form of the art. On the other hand, there are many people who claim that it is nothing more than bloodshed in the 3 acts.
